Keeping Our Service Safe

This continues to be a stressful impacting time for many including children, even from an early age. For a list of support networks in this difficult time, click the button below:

At Clever Kids, the health and wellbeing of our children, families and employees is paramount. As such, we have embedded Illness safe measures into our daily practices to ensure we maintain a safe and nurturing environment.  We have made meaningful changes to our operational procedures and practices to ensure the ongoing health, safety and wellbeing of our children, families, and employees. The aim of these new strategies is to minimize the risks of infection whilst continuing to provide the highest level of quality education and care.

We continue to work in collaboration with the Victorian Government’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Department of Education and Training, staying healthy in childcare and the Australian Childcare Alliance, to ensure we are following all guidelines and recommendations, and that our actions are transparent and accurately communicated across our employees and families.  We continue to review and adjust our policies and practices in line with government advice and communicate changes to employees and families where necessary.

In addition to this, the following measures are in place:

  • Touchless Sanitisation units are installed throughout our centre for all families, visitors and employees to use.

  • Drop off and pick up in the foyer.

  • Illness notifications will be placed on the entrance doors and throughout each centre when an infectious illness is circulating.

  • Screen wipes are available at all iPad kiosks.

  • All educators, staff, contractors and additional visitors are fully vaccinated

  • Regular sanitising and cleaning of resources, furniture, toys, equipment, door handles and railings and other high touch surfaces.

  • Our families are provided regular updates via OWNA and via direct email of any Government public health information.

  • Our educators teach our children about germs and how to stay clean and encourage all children to practice good personal hygiene routines.

  • Our educators have had further training in risk minimisation techniques to avoid spreading disease.

  • Implement of our Exclusion Policy for educators and children who are unwell.
